Ok, what do you think of the following proposal:

1) We have our meeting in Berlin for the people who happen to
   be local.

2) We schedule some (regular, e.g. weekly) discussion/Q&A session on IRC
   where some of the more "senior" project members (like myself) are
   present.

Keeping those two separate seems to make more sense to me.

What would be your preferred day of the week for those IRC sessions?
I'm extremely flexible as long as it is somewhere between 9am and 10pm
German time...
