trouble while using sony erricson J100i

hi all

i cant understand where i am wrong 
when i run this command this is the response which i get 

root at shahzeb-laptop:~/Desktop/toolchain/osmocom-bb/src/host/osmocon# ./osmocon -p /dev/ttyUSB0 -m c140xor -c ../../target/firmware/board/se_j100/layer1.highram.bin
got 1 bytes from modem, data looks like: 00  .

and then it gets hanged and nothing happens.

i have checked the cable aswell it seems like cable is working

i have consulted J100i_cable.pdf for the data cable.

i would really appreciate your help
