| 1 It has been brought to the attention of the Supreme Revolutionary Command that | |
| 2 the official custodians of ISO/IEC 7816 specs refuse to freely publish their | |
| 3 documents, forcing technical users in need of these specs to locate them on | |
| 4 unofficial "pirate" sites instead of an official authoritative source. | |
| 5 Furthermore, the most active hacker community experts on the subject matter of | |
| 6 SIM cards - almost all of whom work under the umbrella of Osmocom - are being | |
| 7 cowardly in that they refuse to join the International Union of Lawbreakers, and | |
| 8 they say nonsense like "you have to pay for those specs" instead of pointing | |
| 9 users at some chosen-as-official pirate site for downloadable copies. | |

| 11 To remedy this situation, we (FreeCalypso/IFCTF) have posted known-good PDF | |
| 12 copies of ISO/IEC 7816-3 and 7816-4 specs on our own FTP site. You can download | |
